ABOUT OUR EXPERTS:

With over 17 years in the hospitality and events sector, Karl Patrick Thomas is an accomplished Head chef with a strong fine dining background. He’s been the private chef for celebrities, worked for London’s leading events catering companies and Michelin star restaurants. Since moving to Australia in 2019, he has risen through the ranks of the Trippas White Group and is currently the Head Chef at one of Australia’s most iconic venues. Karl has a passion for food, produce and entertaining – he is constantly exploring new techniques and new dishes through his creative outlet, Brown Bear Events. Karl’s ethos is based on the belief that a chef must think like a scientist, organise like an accountant, inspire and motivate like a warrior, move like a track star, plate like an artist and cook like a grandma.
